1. VLC and VideoLAN

Vavo acknowledges the VLC playback technology. VLC, VideoLAN and the VLC cone mark belong to their respective rights holders. This acknowledgement does not imply that VideoLAN develops, owns, sponsors or certifies Vavo.

The applicable software licence depends on the exact VLC-related component and build used in each application. A website badge is not a substitute for the required licence text, component notices, source availability or any permission needed for a trademark.

2. Website open-source notices

The Open Source Licences document identifies the package versions used by this website and reproduces their original licence notices in full. These website notices are separate from the component inventory of each native Vavo application.

3. Platform and third-party names

Platform names and logos identify compatible environments or the relevant distribution service. Copyright and trademark rights remain with their owners. Compatibility statements and attribution do not grant a trademark licence or imply endorsement.

The legal permissions for a third-party logo, and the technical entitlement to distribute a component, must be assessed separately. Nothing in Vavo’s own terms overrides an independent rights holder’s licence conditions.

4. Illustrations and external media

Website interface illustrations are examples of the player experience, not media supplied with a licence. Users remain responsible for rights in media that they independently add. A dependency notice does not grant rights to films, television programmes, posters, streams or other external content.

5. Attribution enquiries

For a question about a Vavo-controlled attribution, contact the operator using the details supplied in these documents. Identify the component or material and explain the notice or right involved. A relevant correction can then be reviewed.
