Terms of Use
Vavo Player is media-player software only. We do not provide channels, films, series or media subscriptions. A licence unlocks software features only; you must add your own authorised media sources.

1. About this agreement
These Terms of Use are between you and the service operator identified above, trading as Vavo Player (“Vavo”, “we”, “us”). They apply to Vavo applications, this website and device licences to which these terms are linked. An order-specific agreement may add details, but cannot remove rights that the law gives you.
Read these terms before installing or using Vavo or placing an order. If you do not agree, do not use the service. Opening a legal document does not itself authorise a payment or waive a cancellation right. A licence purchase must be made by someone with the legal capacity to enter a contract, or with appropriate parental or guardian authorisation.
2. A player for your own media
Vavo is media-player software for compatible local videos, playlists and media sources that you choose to add. Vavo does not sell, supply or include television channels, films, series, playlists or subscriptions to external content services. A software payment buys access to the advertised application features only.
You must have the rights or permission needed to access and use every file, playlist, stream, camera feed and service you add. Vavo does not approve a source merely because the app can open it. An external provider’s fees, availability, terms and privacy practices are separate from your Vavo licence.
3. Your device licence
Subject to these terms and the confirmed purchase details, you receive a limited right to use the licensed Vavo features on the single device identified by its MAC address during activation. The software is licensed, not sold. Keep the device identifier and any purchase reference accurate and use only a device you own or are authorised to control.
A licence for one device does not activate another device, create an account-wide entitlement or include household-wide sharing. A different device needs its own licence unless a specific written offer expressly provides otherwise. Business, hotel, reseller and API arrangements require the applicable written agreement.
Third-party and open-source components remain subject to their own licences. These terms do not restrict rights that those licences or mandatory law expressly give you.
4. Trial and licence periods
| Option | What it covers | Renewal |
|---|---|---|
| 60-day trial | The advertised trial access to Vavo features on your device. | Starting a trial does not, by itself, authorise a payment. |
| 12-month licence | The licensed features for the period stated in your activation confirmation. | The current plan is renewed by a new purchase; it does not renew automatically. |
| Lifetime licence | A device licence with no scheduled expiry for the licensed Vavo product. | One payment; no periodic renewal charge. |
“Lifetime” does not mean ownership of the software or a promise that every device, operating system or connected service will remain available indefinitely. We will not convert an existing lifetime licence into a recurring subscription. If a material withdrawal of the licensed service affects your purchase, the notice and remedies required by applicable law remain available.
Use the trial to check compatibility with your device and lawful media sources. When a trial or fixed-term licence ends, the relevant paid features require a valid licence. Any different trial conditions must be explained before you start.
5. Prices, orders and activation
The purchase screen must identify the selected device, licence period, total price, currency and any applicable taxes or fees before you authorise payment. Review and correct the device identifier and other order details before submitting an order. The terms confirmed for your purchase govern that order; later price changes do not retrospectively change it.
An order is accepted when an actual payment and licence order are confirmed. A demonstration, test checkout or failed payment does not create a paid licence. Access is supplied electronically through device activation, with the timing stated at purchase. Keep the confirmation so we can identify the order if something goes wrong.
If you purchase through an app store, that store’s checkout and payment-management rules also apply. A store receipt does not expand a device entitlement beyond the scope stated in its product description. Payment services process card details under their own terms and privacy notices.
6. Cancellation and purchase problems
Our Refunds & Cancellation Policy explains how to cancel an eligible order, report a duplicate charge or request help when access is faulty or not supplied. Nothing in these terms removes a statutory cancellation right, a remedy for faulty digital content or another right that cannot legally be excluded.
Immediate supply does not automatically remove a cancellation right. Any lawful exception requires the separate consent, acknowledgement and confirmation required by the applicable law. We will not treat a general agreement to these terms as that separate consent.
Read Refunds & Cancellation7. Compatibility, maintenance and updates
Available features depend on the app version, operating system, device capabilities and the media source. Check the relevant platform information and trial before buying. Keep the app and your device reasonably up to date, including necessary security updates.
We may maintain or update the software to address security, compatibility and functionality. A software licence does not guarantee the performance of an external network, provider, file or stream. Material changes to paid functionality will be handled consistently with the purchase description and your legal rights.
8. Responsible use
- Use only media sources and device identifiers that you are authorised to use.
- Do not bypass licence checks, impersonate another device or abuse an API or activation system.
- Do not use Vavo to infringe copyright, invade privacy, distribute unlawful material or gain unauthorised access to another system.
- Do not introduce malware, disrupt the service or misuse another person’s credentials.
- Do not redistribute proprietary Vavo software or resell device access without permission. Statutory exceptions and independent open-source permissions remain unaffected.
You are responsible for keeping any external playlist credentials private and for observing the terms of the service that provides your media. A parent or guardian who permits a child to use a device should configure suitable content restrictions.
9. U.S. sanctions and export controls
Access to Vavo, software distribution and licence purchases are subject to applicable U.S. economic sanctions, export controls and other trade restrictions. You must not obtain, use, export, re-export or transfer Vavo software or a licence in a transaction prohibited by those rules. This includes dealings with restricted parties, destinations or end uses to the extent prohibited, taking account of any applicable authorisation, exemption or licence exception.
Do not evade an applicable restriction or provide false identity, device or location information to obtain access. We may decline a transaction or restrict access where required by law or reasonably necessary to comply with these rules. Any affected payment or licence will be handled as the law permits or requires; these restrictions do not waive mandatory consumer rights.
10. Device information and privacy
The Privacy Policy explains the device data used by Vavo, cookies and browser storage, support information you choose to send, and your data-protection choices. Adding an external source may also disclose connection information to that source’s operator.
Read Privacy Policy11. Intellectual property and third-party notices
Vavo names, designs and proprietary software belong to the service operator or the relevant rights holders. Media and third-party trademarks remain the property of their owners. Your device licence does not grant rights in third-party content or marks.
Attributions acknowledge the technologies used and identify applicable notices. An acknowledgement is not an endorsement, a partnership or permission to disregard a component’s licence.
Read Attributions & Open Source12. Suspension and ending use
You may stop using Vavo at any time. Stopping use or deleting the app does not itself cancel an order or create a refund; applicable cancellation and refund rights are addressed separately.
We may proportionately suspend access where reasonably necessary to address a material breach, fraud, unlawful use or a serious security risk. Where practical, we will explain the reason and give you an opportunity to respond or remedy the issue. Urgent protective action may be taken first where law or security requires it. Mistaken restrictions will be reviewed.
Termination does not cancel rights or obligations that already arose, including payment disputes, consumer remedies and provisions that reasonably need to survive.
13. Our responsibility to you
We are responsible for the service we agree to provide, subject to applicable law. Descriptions of compatibility limits and external-media risks do not remove promises made about the paid software or the legal standards that apply to digital content.
Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or mandatory consumer remedies. For consumers, responsibility for loss is assessed under applicable law, including whether the loss was a foreseeable consequence of a breach.
We do not control the availability or legality of an external media service. Its failure does not automatically make Vavo faulty; a separate defect in Vavo remains subject to your legal rights.
14. Updates to these terms
We may update these terms for changes in the service or the law. The updated date identifies the version. Material changes affecting an existing paid entitlement will be communicated with the notice and choices required by law. New terms will not retrospectively remove an accrued right or authorise a new charge.
15. Complaints and applicable law
Contact the service operator with your purchase reference and a clear description of the issue so we can investigate. We will consider complaints fairly and cooperate with any dispute process required by applicable law.
The applicable U.S. state law and court jurisdiction are identified in the operator information, subject to applicable federal law. The operator’s U.S. registration does not remove mandatory protections that apply to a consumer elsewhere. Consumers retain any right to bring a claim in the courts that applicable law makes available in their place of residence. These terms do not require compulsory arbitration or shorten a statutory claim period.
If a provision is invalid, the remainder continues to apply so far as lawful. A failure to enforce a term on one occasion is not a permanent waiver. These documents are currently provided in English.
