Device & Household Use
A simple explanation of device activation, shared household devices and separate licences.
1. The unit being licensed
The current Vavo licence is issued for one identified device, not for a household or an unlimited number of installations. A 12-month and a lifetime licence follow the same single-device scope unless a specific purchase expressly states otherwise.
2. Using a household device
Members of a household may use the same licensed device under the licence holder’s supervision and these terms. This does not activate their personal phones, computers or other televisions. Consider suitable device access controls and content restrictions when a device is used by children.
3. Additional devices
Each additional device needs a separate licence under the current offering. Copying, spoofing or reusing another device’s MAC address does not create a valid entitlement. Keep purchase and device details available if you need support with an activation.
4. Platform family-sharing programmes
Apple, Google, Amazon and other platforms may operate their own sharing programmes for eligible products. Vavo’s current single-device website licence does not itself include one of those programmes. Do not infer multi-device rights from a platform’s general family-sharing feature; rely on the specific product and purchase confirmation.
5. Replacing a device
A device replacement or changed hardware identifier is not an automatic licence transfer. Contact the seller with the existing order and device information so the available options can be reviewed. Any correction, remedy or transfer required by applicable law remains available. The current licence does not include an unlimited transfer programme.
6. Hotels, businesses and resellers
A business or multi-device arrangement may have a separate written offer covering device counts, activation and permitted use. Those arrangements do not convert personal single-device purchases into resale stock or a multi-user service.
7. Shared-device privacy
Sharing physical access to a device can expose preferences or external-source credentials to another person using it. Manage access through the device and app controls available to you, and do not share another person’s credentials or private identifiers without authority.
